Popular child actor turned heroine Anikha Surendar is fondly recognised by fans for playing Ajith's daughter in Yennai Arindhal and Viswasam.

However, in the recent past, the young celebrity is carving a niche for herself as a lead film actress. The latest movie in her filmography is Dhanush's third directorial film NEEK which has her playing Nila.

In the trailer of NEEK, Anikha is seen playing a character who is nursing a wounded heart - unable to get over her ex.When the film was just launched Anikha took her Instagram handle to share a poster, with the text "unbelievably excited for this one. A huge thank you to @dhanush for this opportunity. " She also posted "dream come true. It's been hard keeping this in for such a long time. Feeling utterly blessed to be a part of a @dhanushkraja directorial".A look at her Instagram handle would tell you that Anikha's cuteness and charm is reflected in pictures in her grid.

Anikha Surendran shuts down moral policing

A few years ago, when Anikha began posting pictures of herself which was a stark contrast from the on-screen image in which she was seen playing a child.

In the comments section, netizens began to moral police her. One user went on to tell her 'act her age' and not post pictures of herself from photoshoots, She was quick to slam him. She said "it is my Instagram and my body, I can do wherever the hell I want" read the reply.
