Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena has declared a public holiday on February 12 on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti. This order will apply to all government offices, autonomous bodies, and public sector undertakings in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Schools in Uttar Pradesh will also remain closed.

According to the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council, all schools in the state will also remain closed on February 12.

Essential services will remain operational.

However, this holiday will not apply to departments related to health, security, and other essential services. They will continue their regular services.

According to the official notification issued by the government, earlier a restricted holiday was announced on this day, which has now been changed to a public holiday.
