New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s son-in-law Nikhil Nanda has been booked following the allegations of abetment to suicide and fraud. Now, his team has issued an official statement addressing the controversy. On Monday (February 17), the company issued an official statement clarifying that they hadn’t received any official communication from the authorities.

The statement further added that their legal team is gathering all necessary details and if called for an investigation, they will fully cooperate with the authorities to ensure that the facts are established and “the truth prevails”. Let’s delve into further details!

The official statement also states that the FIR names senior officials which “appears to be influenced by factors un to the incident”. The statement further added, “Such allegations are unfounded and the company is keen to ensure that the proper facts are ascertained”.

They further urged stakeholders and the public to refrain from “drawing premature conclusions and to respect the investigative process”.

What is the fraud and abetment to suicide case?

According to ETV Bharat, Dataganj Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district have registered a case against Nikhil Nanda and several other senior officials of a tractor company. According to the report, Gyanendra claimed that officials allegedly threatened to revoke Jitendra Singh’s dealership license if sales were not increased. Following this, Jitendra took his own life.

Jitendra’s family also filed a complaint with the police but the cops failed to take any action until cops intervened. Following the court’s directives, a case was registered against all accused. Jitendra’s father also claimed that he was unaware of Nikhil Nanda’s connection but held the company responsible for his son’s demise.

His father expressed to ETV Bharat, “I don’t know who he is. We want justice.”

Meanwhile, Nikhil Nanda is the son of Ritu Nanda, Raj Kapoor’s daughter. He is married to Shweta Bachchan and the couple has two children together – Agastya Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda.
