In the new excise policy of the Uttar Pradesh government, the license of liquor shops will be given through e-lottery. The old license will not be renewed. The Yogi government has set a target of raising Rs 55000 crore from Excise Revenue in FY 2025-26, which is Rs 4000 crore more than last year. Online registration has been started in Uttar Pradesh from 14 February. In such a situation, if you are interested, then you can be enrolled in it.
This online lottery registration has been started for about 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Under this, you can apply by doing exciseelotteryup.upsdc.gov.in, the website of Excise Department for indigenous liquor, composite and model. District Excise Officer of Lucknow Karunendra Singh said that a total of 1071 indigenous shops, model shops and composite shops will be allotted through lottery in 2025-26.
Due to the introduction of new excise policy, 49 shops have reduced this time compared to Lucknow. There were 1120 liquor shops in 2024-25, but in 2025-26 only lottery will be released for 1071 shops. The lottery registration process has started on 14 February 2025 at 4 pm. The last date for payment and processing fees is till 5 pm on February 27. You can apply by visiting the official website exciseelotteryup.upsdc.gov.in. During the registration, it will be mandatory for all applicants to enter their PAN number.
Residents of any district can participate in this process. You can apply for any district shop. However, a maximum of two shops will be allotted to a person. There will be no more allotment than that. Some special changes have been made in the lottery process this time. Now only individual applicants will be given liquor shops. Big companies, private firms etc. will not be able to participate in it. Non -refundable application processing fees will have to be paid while applying for liquor shops.
