At some point in your childhood, you must have heard or read about Chanakya, and how he avenged his insult by dethroning the king and giving the throne to the son of a shepherd. Acharya Chanakya handed over the throne to Chandragupta Maurya and also made him a capable king. Along with this, he also wrote a book on the ideal life, which is called Chanakya Niti or Niti Shastra. By implementing many things written in Niti Shastra in one's life, a person can live an ideal life.
Chanakya has said that many people remain poor throughout their lives due to many reasons. The first reason is their deeds, the second is living in the wrong place. Chanakya said that these people have a big role to play in being poor, he has said a line in Chanakya Niti which is as follows-
Dhanikah Shrotrio Raja Nadi Vaidyastu Panchamah.
Panch yatra na vidyante na tatra diwase vaset.
Acharya Chanakya says in the 9th verse of the first chapter of Niti Shastra that people living in some five places always remain poor and unhappy in their lives. These people cannot progress even if they want to. These people live a life like lecherous and foolish people. They neither have the knowledge of the scriptures nor do they even try to learn them.
