The are allowing new manager to make regular trips home to Germany - even if it means not attending the vast majority of matches.

Tuchel, 51, and following a hectic first week which involved , the former boss watched various matches in person alongside new England assistant manager . But since then, Tuchel has only been in the country for one of the four weekends on which Premier League fixtures were played.

The German, who two daughters with his ex-wife, Sissi, also missed the third round of the and all four semi-finals, according to . It's noted that Tuchel has attended some midweek fixtures, including Chelsea's clash with and against in January.

He's also been spotted at European matches involving English teams, such play-off first leg at home to last week. In total, Tuchel has attended 17 fixtures on English and foreign soil since taking the job, having been unveiled in October.

There's been no suggestion that Tuchel hasn't been watching games on television while at home visiting his family. The 51-year-old is also understood to have visited St George's Park, the FA's national football centre, on multiple occasions, delivering on his promise made at the draw in December.

Tuchel told : "Of course we will be very regularly in St George's Park because this is where our base is and this is where we want to create an atmosphere and this is where we are happy to engage with all the people who work for the FA.

"We want to interact with them, we want to use quality and feel the place. We will watch a lot of matches starting in January. I want to see the matches live, I will speak to the players - but also not interfere too much because they are players of the clubs and should focus on that. You will see us in stadiums a lot from January onwards."

Tuchel has signed an 18-month contract which will see him earn a reported £7.5million and he's been tasked with leading England to glory when the tournament takes place across the USA, Canada and Mexico in 2026.

He'll announce his first set of call-ups next month, as England prepare to welcome and Latvia to Wembley for their opening qualifiers.
