February 21, Mumbai In Prosit Roy’s next masterpiece, an action thriller, actor Ali Fazal is going to play a hitherto unseen character.

Before starting production on “Mirzapur: The Film,” Fazal collaborated with Prosit Roy, the director of “Paatal Lok,” on the action thriller. Production on the untitled project is expected to start in the middle of 2025, after his completion of his present obligations with Raj & DK’s historical fantasy drama series, Rakht Brahmand.

“This series is intended to be an exciting, massive action spectacle, unlike anything Ali has done before,” a source close to the production said in reference to the partnership. Prosit Roy is the ideal director for this project because of his distinct vision and skill as a storyteller. Given Ali’s commitment to his work and Sonali Bendre’s commanding presence on screen, we can expect a picture that will push the envelope in terms of action scenes and narrative complexity. The group is getting ready for something quite unique.

The ‘Fukrey’ star will probably be seen in an avatar like never before, the source said. Ali Fazal is preparing for the premiere of “Metro In Dino.” and the much awaited “Mirzapur: The Film,” in addition to the new series. Other noteworthy projects that the actor is working on include “Lahore 1947,” “Thug Life,” a movie that was shot all across India, “Rule Breakers,” and “Rakht Brahmand.”

Ali has already discussed his amazing list of undertakings. “It feels like the culmination of years of hard work and passion for storytelling,” he said of 2025.
