The body of Shalini Vijay, the first batch topper of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission, has been found under suspicious circumstances in Kerala. The bodies of his brother and mother were also lying together. Since this incident, there has been a sensation in both Kerala and Jharkhand states. Is this suicide or murder, it has not been confirmed yet. The police is investigating the case closely. Shalini Vijay, the bodies of his brother and mother have been found in a closed room in a residence at Central Excise Quarter in Kochi.

Shalini's brother Manish Vijay was an IRS officer. He was posted at the post of Custom Officer in Kerala. Whereas, his mother Shakuntala has been a professor in a college in Vijay Bokaro. The first Jharkhand Public Service Commission topper Shalini Vijay was on leave for the last about three-four years. Shalini Vijay was last posted as District Social Welfare Officer in Garhwa district of Jharkhand and was on leave for more than 3 years.

The case was revealed when Assistant Commissioner Manish Vijay in CGST in Kochi, Kerala took leave about a week ago. He took leave by saying that he had to go to Jharkhand. But he did not come to Jharkhand. Three days after the holiday ended, when he did not return on duty, his two colleagues Guruwal reached his residence late in the evening.

Consideration occurred when bad odor comes from inside the house

The two colleagues were apprehensive after the foul smell from the Central Excise Quarter where Manish Ranjan used to live in Kochi. He immediately informed the police. In the presence of the police, when the door of the house was broken, the body of mother Shakuntala Aggarwal (age 80 Vers), sister Shalini Vijay aged about 50 years and brother Manish Vijay Agarwal were recovered under suspicious circumstances in different rooms of the house.

The body of mother Shakuntala was lying on the bed. While the bodies of brother Manish and sister Shalini were found hanging from the noose. The Kerala Police seized several other materials including mobile phones and diary from his residence. The FSL team started collecting the evidence present at the residence. Along with this, the bodies of the dead were sent to Ernakulam Medical College for postmortem.

Shalini was on leave since 2021

First JPSC topper Shalini Vijay was last posted as District Social Welfare Officer in Garhwa district of Jharkhand. She was on leave since 2021. She had gone to Kerala for almost 3 years after taking leave and was living there with her brother. It is being feared that due to some domestic disputes and troubles, the three people must have taken a big step like suicide.

Shalini separated from her husband in 2019

Shalini Vijay's entire family is quite educated. Shalini Vijay's grandfather Nemi Chand was also working in a high position in BPSC Patna. While Shalini Vijay's father Uttam Chand was working in Bokaro Steel, although he has already died. Shalini Vijay was married to a professor working as a lecturer in Sambalpur, although the two separated in the year 2019.

Shalini's name was in CBI investigation

The first Jharkhand Public Service Commission is undergoing a CBI inquiry into irregularities in appointment in the examination. Shalini has been the first Jharkhand Public Service Commission's topper. The CBI is investigating the successful candidates of that first batch, in which notice was sent to many people. It also included the name of Shalini Vijay.
