The application process for the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2025 will start on 24 February and will run till 13 March 2025. The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University determines eligibility for the posts of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges of Maharashtra. A post-graduation degree in the relevant subject is mandatory to appear in this exam. Candidates who have already passed the SET exam in a particular subject cannot appear again in the examination of the same subject.

MH SET 2025 Application Fees: What is the application fee?

General category candidates have to pay Rs 800 as an application fee for Maharashtra State Eligibility Test, while reserved category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 650.

MH SET 2025 Exam Pattern: What is the exam pattern?

The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test consists of two papers and both are objective type. Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking, and General Awareness are evaluated in Paper 1. Each question in Paper 1 is of two marks. At the same time, Paper 2 focuses on the candidate's chosen subject and consists of 100 objective type questions. In this too, each question is of two marks. There is no negative marking in this exam.

MH SET 2025 Passing Marks: What is the passing marks?

Only candidates who cross the cut-off set by Savitribai Phule Pune University will be considered for the post of Assistant Professor. The cutoff score for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is 40 percent for General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), while Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PWD) and Transgender candidates will have to score 35 percent marks in total in both the exam papers.
