Fasting during Ramadan is compulsory for every adult Muslim. People of the Muslim community start fasting as soon as the moon appears in the month of Ramadan. Every day they have Sehri early in the morning, with which the fast begins and in the evening after sunset they end their fast by having an Iftar. During fasting people of the Muslim community neither eat nor drink anything. In such a situation, everyone is wondering whether a husband and wife of the Muslim community can have physical relations during Ramadan or not?

Can we romance during Ramadan or not?

Muslims who fast during the month of Ramzan cannot eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. According to Islam, before keeping a fast, one has to make the intention of fasting every day. The intention of fasting can be made at night before sleeping or at the time of Sehri. The person keeping the fast should be pure, whereas in a state of impurity, neither can one keep the fast, nor can one read the Quran, nor is one allowed to go to the mosque. In the state of fasting, romance between husband and wife is strictly prohibited.

It has been declared haram for husband and wife to have physical relations during fasting. From Sehri to Iftar, husband and wife cannot have physical relations or any kind of romance. In the month of Ramzan, from sunrise to sunset, they cannot have physical relations. Not only this, romantic talks are also prohibited during fasting.

Permission to romance at night Islamic scholars clearly say that romance is forbidden during fasting, but the fast has ended. After this, if the husband and wife want to have physical relations, Islam allows it. After breaking the fast, if the husband and wife have physical relations or romance at night, then it is necessary for them to become pure in the morning before sunrise, that is, before having Sehri. Being pure means taking a bath, that is, washing the body with water. This has to be done before fasting.

When can we make a relationship?

It is forbidden during fasting but eating, drinking and sexual intercourse are permitted at any time during the nights, whether they are asleep or not. During night time, husband and wife can kiss each other and be close to each other. In this way, they can do every kind of romance with each other, but they should become clean before fasting i.e. at the time of Sehri. This matter has been explained in detail in the Hadith. If the couple wants to be intimate in Ramadan, then they can come close to each other after breaking the fast and before fasting i.e. till Sehri, not after that.

Romance is prohibited during fasting

If husband and wife have sex during Ramadan, it is very important for them to take a bath. They will not be considered pure during Ramadan without taking a bath. If they have physical relations while fasting, they must be pure, that too before time. If husband and wife are intimate while fasting, the fast is broken. Romance of any kind is not allowed during fasting.

While fasting, hugging or kissing the husband and wife should be avoided at all costs, because if semen is released due to excitement or if a wrong thought comes to mind during this time, the fast is broken right there. That is why women and girls are prohibited from fasting during periods. Fast is broken by masturbation. Apart from this, fast can also be broken by kissing.

Natural sexual relations or any kind of intimacy between same sexes also breaks the fast. Apart from this, watching pornographic films also breaks the fast. That is why romance is strictly prohibited while fasting. That is why any kind of romance should be avoided while fasting.
