mega-mansion on the banks of the River Thames set him back £5million - and it's where he died.

The disgraced former TV presenter, who was jailed from 2014 until 2017 and never apologised to his victims, lived as a recluse in the huge property until his death aged 93.

Located in Bray, Berkshire, the home was renovated in 2016 before Harris was released from prison. It was designed in line with his childhood home in Perth, Australia, which lay on the banks of the Swan River. Harris learned to swim in that river at the bottom of his garden, later becoming junior backstroke champion of Australia when he was 15.

In an attempt to avoid reporters on his way to court in 2014, Harris even took a boat from his back garden to Southwark Crown Court.

His Berkshire property featured balconies, extensive decking and a huge garden filled with trees which helped build a privacy wall into the house.

The interior featured huge art pieces hanging on the walls, as well as a whole wall lined with mirrors. Dark leather couches used to litter the room, while outdoor ornaments were scattered around the grounds including a huge horse's head in the front drive.

On one memorable occasion, Harris' home flooded due to torrential rain - and a photograph showed him feeding swans that had managed to swim up to his property.

Renovations to the property saw a large patio replaced at a cost of £10,000, while his drive was dug up and the back garden revamped.

Three of Harris' neighbours put up their multi-million pound properties for sale after the paedophile's release from prison in 2017. One waterfront home boasting five bedrooms was listed for £2.75million.

A source told the Daily Star at the time: "The owners are in their 40s and have a family, so there's no surprise in the community that they have decided to sell up and move. Rolf isn't seen out and about a lot, but for parents his dubious past is enough of a reason for them to want to leave."

Harris would only leave the house to pick up his medication in his later years, and spent time caring for his wife Alwen Hughes, who suffered from . She died in 2024 aged 92 - a year after his death.

Harris was found guilty on 12 counts of indecent assault against four girls and young women, and sentenced to five years and nine months behind bars. One of the girls was aged just seven or eight. Some of the assaults took place in his Berkshire mansion.

Harris displayed no emotion when he was sentenced, and the judge told him he had "no-one to blame but himself". Mr Justice Sweeney said the disgraced TV star had shown "no remorse".
