Allegations detailed

The complaint against Hafta Vasooli alleges that the show "insults multiple religions," "violates cultural values," and is responsible for "polluting young minds and society."

The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had earlier demanded a ban on the show, citing its use of foul language as unacceptable for public viewing.

In a tweet, they stated, "We demand an immediate ban on #HaftaVasooli airing on Jio Hotstar! In this show @munawar uses foul language, which is unacceptable for public viewing."

'Hafta Vasooli' premiered on February 14 amid controversy
Show's debut

The first episode of Hafta Vasooli aired on February 14 with Sharib Hashmi and Vivian Dsena as guests. The second episode featured Saqib Saleem.

The controversy around the show comes at a time when another comedian, Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent, is also under fire for an inappropriate question asked by guest Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps.

This sparked widespread social media backlash and multiple FIRs against Allahbadia.

Raina subsequently deleted all episodes of IGL from YouTube.
