When I was at university, I religiously used The Ordinary Serum Foundation every single day. At the time, I couldn't believe I had actually found a foundation that worked for my combination skin, and it was only £6. So when The Ordinary announced they were discontinuing its make-up line (including the Serum Foundation) back in late 2022, I was devasted and stocked up on a few to see me through. However, I unfortunately have been without it for the past two years or so.

That has all changed now that the brand has relaunched the product on its sites for a limited time only. is available for £6.40, which is such a steal. Finding any foundation for under £7 is pretty difficult, but the fact that this one is also one of my all-time favourite beauty products is amazing.

I'm not a huge fan of full-coverage foundations. They stick to my dry areas and end up patchy by the end of the day. So, the worked amazingly on my dry and oily combo skin. Despite being lighter, this still gives excellent coverage, which is why it was one of my go-to products at university, especially for a night out.

The makes this so easy to blend and leaves a seamless, real skin-looking finish, which I'm a huge fan of.

Although this was one of my favourite foundations when I was younger, . This foundation is really one for all ages and skin types. One shopper wrote, "I'm 57 y/o with dry skin, fine lines, and some sun-related hyperpigmentation, and this doesn't accentuate those pesky flaws but evens out my skin."

Another shopper even compared the product to luxe beauty brands writing, "I bought this several months ago, and it was single-handedly THE best decision I ever made. The wear of this foundation is comparable to my Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation BUT EVEN BETTER. The finish of this foundation is beautiful, it's hydrating so it gives a soft radiance to the skin that can be sheered out for light coverage or layered for medium coverage.".

There are currently 36 different shades to choose from. My only criticism is that I struggle to find an exact match for my skin tone, although this can easily be corrected with concealer and bronzer.

If your shade is not available, a couple of my other favourite foundations include , on the pricier side at £48. And , £28.
