It is believed that Lord Shiva and Parvati were married on the day of Shivratri. On this day, people also organize Shiva Baraat in temples, but Shiva Puran spokesperson Acharya Mridul Kant Shastri of Mathura has called it wrong. He said that Shivaratri is not the date of marriage of Shiva and Parvati. This is a wrong tradition that has been started in the last few years. Due to this almost every Sanatani in the whole world believes that Lord Shankar and Parvati were married on the day of Mahashivratri. On this occasion, Shiva Baraat is taken out in various temples in villages in different places across the country. The marriage festival of Shiva Parvati is organized, which has become a wrong tradition.
When did Shiva Vivah happen?
Shiva Puran spokesperson Acharya Mridul Kant Shastri has claimed that Shivaratri is not the date of marriage of Shiva and Parvati. This is a wrong tradition that has been started in the last few years. Due to this almost every Sanatani in the whole world believes that Lord Shankar and Parvati were married on the day of Mahashivratri. On this occasion, Shiv Baraat is taken out in different temples in villages in different places of the country. The marriage festival of Shiv Parvati is organized, which has become a wrong tradition. This is a malicious attempt to deviate Sanatan from its mainstream.
Acharya Mridul Kant Shastri has clarified by citing evidence from the Puranas like Shiv Mahapuran, Shri Linga Puran, Shri Skand Puran, etc. that the marriage of Lord Shankar Parvati was performed on Monday in the month of Margashirsha. Secondly, when Brahma and Vishnu fought in the month of Margashirsha, Lord Shankar appeared in the form of a huge fire pillar to stop that war. Neither Brahma nor Lord Narayan could find its beginning or end. In this context, when Lord Shankar lied, Lord Shankar manifested Bhairavnath. Who separated the fifth head of the lying Brahma from the body. Then Lord Shankar reduced the size of his fire pillar and transformed it into a Shivling.
Acharya Mridul Kant Shastri said that Shivling appeared on the day of Shivratri. This became famous in the world as Shivratri. Lord Shankar himself said that among all my dates, this Shivratri is the most sacred and most dear to me. He told how the date of the appearance of Lord Shankar was publicized as the date of marriage. No one ever tried to stop this. Acharya Vishnu Kant Shastri Ji has humbly requested all Sanatanis not to do Shiv Vivah on the upcoming Mahashivratri. Instead, celebrate the appearance of Shivling by worshipping Lord Shankar in four prayers and get his blessings.
