Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has released the detailed updated syllabus of Uttarakhand PCS Pre and Main Exam. Candidates can carry out their preparation accordingly. The pre-examination will be of 300 marks and the main examination will be of 1500 marks, while the interview will be of 150 marks.

According to the information released by the Commission's Secretary Girdhari Singh Rawat, the first paper in the pre-examination will be of General Studies, in which 150 questions of 150 marks will have to be solved in two hours. The second paper will be of General Intelligence Test, in which 100 questions of 150 marks will have to be solved in two hours. One mark will be deducted for getting four questions wrong in the pre-examination.

The first paper in the main examination will be of General Hindi of 150 marks. The second paper will be of Essay of 150 marks. The third paper will be General Studies-1 (Indian Heritage and Culture, World History and Geography and Society), the fourth paper will be General Studies-2 (Governance, Constitution, Governance, Social Justice and International Relations), the fifth paper will be General Studies-3 (Technology, Economic Development, Biodiversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management), the sixth paper will be General Studies-4 (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude), the seventh paper will be General Studies-5 (Information about the state of Uttarakhand), the eighth paper will be General Studies-6 (Information about the state of Uttarakhand). All the papers on General Studies will be of 200 marks each. You will get three hours to solve all of them. After this, there will be an interview of 150 marks.

The Commission has already conducted the PCS main examination. Due to some Hindi-English controversy, this updated syllabus has now been released. Hindi and English versions of all question papers can be seen on the Commission's website. This syllabus can be better for future preparation.
