The dates of Chardham Yatra have been announced on Mahashivaratri festival. Chardham Yatra will start in the month of May this year. Announcing the dates Vijay Prasad Thapliyal, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, said that the doors of Kedarnath temple will open at 7 am on May 2. Apart from this, the opening of the doors of Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham has also been announced.
The holy Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham of Uttarakhand come in Chardham. Their travel dates have been announced. Vijay Prasad Thapliyal informed that the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri will be opened on 30 April on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. At the same time, on May 4, the abode of Badrinath will open. The Uttarakhand government has started preparing for the Char Dham Yatra.
