CUET UG 2025 registration process is going to start soon. Registration for Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2025 will be started soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA), although NTA has not yet announced the date and time of starting of registration. As soon as the notification is released, candidates will be able to get important information related to the exam such as exam date, registration date, how to apply, fee, and other important information.

Last year in 2024, the registration process for CUET UG 2025 started from 27 February. So candidates can expect registration at the same time this year too.

Several changes made in the exam process

Some important changes have been made in this year's CUET UG. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has made several changes to make the exam process more effective and standardized. Some of the major changes are:

Reduction in the number of subjects: Candidates can now choose only five subjects, whereas earlier six subjects could be selected. This change is not a more flexible option for the candidates, but has been taken to make it a step more accurate.

There will be a computer-based test: From this year, this exam will be completely computer-based, earlier some parts were paper-based, but now there will be only computer-based examination.

Duration of the exam: Now the duration of the CUET UG exam will be 60 minutes, which earlier used to vary between 45 to 60 minutes. This change has been made to make the exam time limit uniform and accurate.

Elimination of optional questions: Earlier some questions were kept optional, but now all the questions will be compulsory, so that candidates will not get a chance to leave any question in the exam.

End of hybrid model: In the last few years, there was a hybrid exam model, which had both online and offline options. From this year this hybrid model has been abolished, and the entire exam will be online (computer based) only.
