Apart from Umarzai and Kallis, Shahid Afridi has also taken five wickets and has scored a half -century. Afridi scored 55 runs in 18 balls against the Netherlands at the SSC Stadium in Colombo in the 2002 tournament, which is the fastest 50 runs in the history of the competition. Later, he took five wickets in just six overs against Kenya in Birmingham in 2004 and gave just 11 runs.
In the match against England, Umarzai scored 41 runs in 37 balls. This was the first case of a player taking five wickets in the history of the tournament and scoring more than 40 runs in the match. Kallis scored 37 runs in 51 balls after taking five wickets from the ball against the West Indies in the 1998 final.
Umarjai's brilliant campaign of 2025 Champions Trophy with bat and ball came after winning the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year award in 2024. He is the first Afghan cricketer to win the annual award by the World Cricket Governing Body.
