Eleven IPS officials, including ADG (Administration) Nikhil Gupta and ADG (Highway police) Suresh Mekhla, were removed by the Maharashtra government on Friday. According to a state home department directive, Mekhla was assigned as ADG (Economic Offenses Wing) while Gupta was appointed ADG (Law and directive).
Yashasvi Yadav, the Special Inspector General of Maharashtra Cyber, has been elevated to the position of ADG. Former IGP (Protection of Civil Rights) Suhas Warke had been elevated and assigned to the position of ADG Prisons. According to the directive, Aswathi Dorje, who was formerly an IGP (Prevention of Atrocities against Women and Children), was elevated to ADG in the same position.
KMM Prasanna, who was IGP (Establishment), was elevated to ADG (Administration), while Chhering Dorje, IGP (Law and Order), was promoted to ADG (Special Operations). It said that Manoj Kumar Sharma, who had served on the Central Deputation for the last five years, had been promoted to IGP (Law and Order).
According to the order, Ashok Morale, the former IGP SRPF, is now the new IGP of the Motor Transport Section in Pune, while R B Dahale, the Director of the State Intelligence Academy, has been shifted to the Pune-based State Crime Records Center as Special IGP.
Rajiv Jain, a DIG (SRPF), was elevated to the position of IG. Mumbai has appointed Abhishek Trimukhe as an Additional Commissioner of Police (North Region). According to the order, Shrenik Lodha, the extra SP in Aheri in Gadchiroli, has been promoted to additional SP in Buldhana.
