The matter of whether the revised result of the CLAT UG 2025 exam will be released or not will be heard in the Delhi Court today, March 3. The Delhi High Court will hear the appeal of the Association of National Law Universities challenging the order to revise the CLAT UG results. The court will decide whether the declared results will be revised or not. In the last hearing, the Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Sanjeev Khanna had transferred the petitions to the Delhi High Court.

The decision came after several candidates filed petitions against the CLAT UG result in various courts including Bombay, Karnataka, Punjab and Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Calcutta. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 was conducted in December 2024. The exam was conducted for admission to UG and PG law courses in National Law Universities across the country. The CLAT 2025 exam for admission to five-year LLB courses in NLUs was conducted on 1 December 2024 at various centers across the country and the results were declared on 7 December 2024.

CLAT UG 2025 Result: What is the controversy over CLAT UG result?

On 20 December 2024, a single judge of the Delhi High Court had directed the consortium to revise the CLAT UG 2025 result due to errors in the answer key. The court had given its verdict on a petition filed by a candidate who appeared in the CLAT exam. The answers to two questions in the answer key were wrong. In the petition, the final answer key released by the consortium on 7 December 2024 was challenged and directions were sought to declare the correct answers to some questions.

The single judge had said that the mistakes were obvious and it would be unjust to turn a blind eye to them. Petitioner Aditya Singh had filed a petition regarding the answer key. Justice Jyoti Singh had pointed out the discrepancies in questions 14 and 100. The court had determined that option C was correct for question 14 and ordered that full marks be given to the candidates who chose it. At the same time, the court had declared question number 100 invalid.
