TV presenter has opened up about her past struggles and the remarkable resilience she built during a tumultuous period of her life. After the death of her mother, Sarah, 53, found herself in a caravan with her father-who was left financially strained due to the tragedy.
Speaking on the White Wine Question Time podcast, the property guru shared insights into that time: "When you're young, you're quite flexible and resilient, because, just after my mum died, he didn't have any money, so we had to sell the house, move into a caravan where we lived, which was really kind of cool."
She reminisced, "I didn't mind living in a caravan, I quite liked it. And then he had another bit of land, so he started building another house, because he had some money from selling the old house and built a new house."
The courageous presenter also reflected on her transition with her family from urban living to country life in Channel 4's 'Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country'.
Having been a familiar face on British TV for decades, Sarah became a source of inspiration when she revealed her battle with breast cancer in 2022.
The journey, covered in 'Sarah Beeny vs Cancer' on Channel 4, supported many others fighting the disease.
Determined to be remembered for more than her fight against cancer, Sarah's experiences and outlook continue to inspire many across the UK, as highlighted by the Mirror.
She opened up to the media, insisting that a diagnosis should not be a barrier, but rather an impetus to seize more opportunities.
She shared her philosophy: "It's so important to be proactive, I have a whole life to live now.
"Any of us could be dead tomorrow - I say take opportunities because you're a long time sleeping. I'm not very good at turning down opportunities for anything or anyone. If something's even a little tempting, I'll say yes."
In addition to maintaining a hectic work schedule, Sarah has been vocal in her support for fellow cancer fighters, including Princess Kate.
Speaking to The Sun, she expressed her solidarity: "She's incredible and I know she will get through this. But as a mum the first thing you think when you hear the C-word is, 'My kids need me, I can't leave my kids'."
On Instagram, she sent heartfelt wishes: "All best wishes for a speedy journey through this to #princesskate. I look forward to seeing you and His Majesty back fighting fit very soon. Xxxx."
