The request to add a few more MMTS trains has been heeded, as special trains are now operating from Charlapalli Terminal Station. In light of this, the Travellers Association on Monday requested that South Central Railway operate a few more MMTS trains to Charlapalli from various locations within the city.

Travelers Association members emphasized that it is difficult for travelers to get to the Charlapalli Railway station. Due to a lack of adequate road transit to get to the station, people are forced to depend on private app-based services, which often have long booking delays and frequently have taxi drivers cancel their reservations.

After the new station building and platform towards the R K Nagar side are completed, it would be preferable if South Central Railway added a few additional MMTS trains from Lingampalli to Charlapalli, Umdanagar/Falaknuma to Charlapalli via Malkajgiri, and Medchal to Charlapalli via Dayanandnagar. It is imperative that MMTS trains be introduced from Charlapalli station to Secunderabad right away.

Since almost all platforms at Secunderabad station are undergoing redevelopment, it is worthwhile to introduce special or regular trains from Charlapalli. At this point, it is crucial to divert or alter the destinations of trains that originate and terminate in order to prevent platform congestion at Secunderabad station,” they urged.

“We have been proposing that Secunderabad and Hyderabad Divisional authorities schedule a few MMTS trains to Charlapalli terminal from all parts of the city, and it would be better if the railway introduces the services especially during peak hours to facilitate the passengers to board long distance trains that originate from Charlapalli,” stated Noor, a ZRUCC member.
