The “Vividhta Ka Amrit Utsav” was started by President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday at Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma were also in attendance.

The President stopped by each participating state’s booth. The Deputy Chief Minister gave the President an explanation of the importance of Telangana’s traditional craftsmen and handloom workmanship at the Telangana Pavilion. The elaborate handwoven sarees created by Sircilla artisans really captivated the President. She was impressed by their skill and asked about their weaving methods.
The Deputy Chief Minister then visited each stand and spoke with the exhibitors. The captivating “Gussadi” dance was a major feature of the cultural acts, captivating the audience. The inaugural event was attended by ministers and governors from every state in South India.
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which honors 75 years of India’s independence, the President’s Secretariat is organizing the “Vividhta Ka Amrit Utsav.” Under the subject “Unity in Diversity,” this project seeks to commemorate India’s cultural, linguistic, and traditional variety.
In addition to 20 well-known handloom craftsmen and 20 handicraft specialists from different parts of Telangana, the festival, which takes place from March 6 to 9, has a unique Telangana Pavilion with booths set up by Padma Shri winners Gajam Anjaiah and Gajam Govardhan.
