Here, top officials and sports ministers from every state will begin a two-day critical conference on Friday to establish India’s Olympic strategy for 2028.

A high-level Chintan Shivir will be chaired by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya, who has a strategic vision for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and India’s ambitious ambition to host the 2036 Olympics.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) of the Union government is hosting the event at Kanha Shanti Vanam on the outskirts of the city. It will cover the plans for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, when the nation hopes to win ten or more medals. In addition, India has submitted a letter of intent to the International Olympic Committee to host the 2036 Olympics.

Sports ministers from many states and union territories, leading sports administrators, important government representatives, and subject matter experts will come together for a two-day brainstorming session to share ideas and create a plan for India’s rise to prominence in the world of sports.

According to the ministry of youth affairs and sports, the discussions will center on improving sports governance, identifying talent at the grassroots level, building infrastructure, promoting inclusion, and encouraging partnerships.

Leading Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to improve India’s athletic scene, Union Minister Mandaviya will have strategic talks with interested parties about India’s Olympic aspirations and bolstering the sports industry. According to an official statement, state delegates will showcase their innovative concepts and best practices during the Chintan Shivir. An overview of the Union Government’s various schemes and coordination with States and UTs, sports development and infrastructure partnerships with corporations, talent spotting and nurturing at the grassroots level, promoting good governance in sports, discussions on growing Khelo India & Fit India, fostering inclusivity in sports, and the welfare of athletes and coaches are some of the Chintan Shivir’s main areas of focus.
