Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC has released recruitment for the posts of Assistant Commandant (AC) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The application process for this recruitment has also been started on the official website. All those interested and eligible candidates who want to apply for this recruitment can apply by visiting the official website upsconline.gov.in. Let us inform that the last date to apply for this recruitment is 25 March 2025, interested candidates should apply by this date or before that.

When will the recruitment exam be held, what is the exam pattern?

The written exam for this recruitment will be conducted on 3rd August 2025. The exam will have two papers. Paper 1 will be from 10 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 will be from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The first paper will be on general aptitude and intelligence and will be of 250 marks. The questions in this paper will be objective (multiple answer) type, with questions in English and Hindi.

Paper 2 will be on general studies, essays and comprehension and will be of 200 marks. In this paper, candidates will be given the option to write the essay component in English or Hindi, but the medium of precis writing, comprehension components and other communication/language skills will be English only.

The written exam will be followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Interview/Personality Test and Medical Standard Test.

Eligibility Criteria?

Candidates must be at least 20 years of age and not more than 25 years of age as on 1st August 2025. This means that they must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 2000 and not later than 2nd August 2005. The upper age limit prescribed for reserved category candidates will be relaxed. A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is the minimum educational qualification for UPSC CAPF AC 2025. Candidates who have appeared in the final degree examination will be allowed to apply provisionally. If they qualify for the PET/PST round, they will have to prove that they have passed the qualifying examination within the prescribed time limit (as per sub-rules 9.1 and 9.2 of Rule 15 of the CAPF (AC), Examination, 2025).
