The second season will resume three years after the dramatic conclusion of the first. Tasha, now on the run with her daughter Emily, lives off the grid in Cyprus but finds survival challenging.
In a twist, Jack's ex-wife Jen is engaged to a man named Connor, yet she hasn't confessed to fabricating Emily's death to shield Tasha and her daughter from Jack.
Regrettably, Tasha's best friend and former lover, Sam, has lost contact with her after failing to navigate their complicated situation involving Emily.
However, Tasha's is turned upside down when she discovers that Jack has been granted early release from prison after serving just one year of his sentence.

"With the shadow of the past haunting the characters, attemps at moving on only bring Jack closer to discovering his daughter is still alive and revealing the dark secret they have all kept from him."
The logline concludes: "As a tangled web of lies threatens to unravel, who can each of them really trust, can anyone truly change, and how far will a parent go to protect their child?"
Hot on the heels of the announcement for season two, Sebastian Cardwell, Paramount UK's deputy chief content officer, expressed his excitement in a statement: "I am thrilled to be teaming up with Clapperboard, Blackbox Media, and Night Train again for a second series of The Ex-Wife."
