At the same time, Amitabh Bachchan was seen in the role of elderly teaser Debraj, who is an alcoholic and later falls prey to Alzheimer's.

After this, Mitchell is in love with her teacher, and Michel expresses her love by kissing Debraj. This was the first film in which Amitabh Bachchan kissed on screen for the first time, at that time there was a difference of 36 years in the age of both lead actors.

Talking in an interview, the director said, “Earlier I was not trying to shoot this scene because it could become a very big issue, but when I narrated the scene to both the actors, he agreed comfortably for this, due to which we were able to shoot it, although I was heard very well for it after the release but I did not have any kind of difference due to the good response of the film.”

Black's box office performance faded

In India, the film made a gross collection of Rs 32.21 crore and in the worldwide, the total gross of this film was Rs 40.18 crore, due to which the film could not show anything special at the box office and proved to be average in terms of earnings. However, this film has received a rating of 8.1 out of 10 on IMDB.

For this movie, Rani Mukherjee also won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor by Best Actress and Amitabh Bachchan. According to a report, 'Black' won the total 57 awards which is a very big achievement for any film. Black is getting stream on Netflix for your entertainment.
