The 1% Club host Lee Mack has had a professional rivalry with fellow David Mitchell since 2007, when they both signed up to panel show Would I Lie to You as team captains.

Though Lee is known for taking the mickey out of David's posh upbringing and David likes to hit back at Lee's own life, the pair have opened up on their relationship behind the scenes on numerous occasions. During one hilarious interview, Lee even joked the pair have a "sexual tension" between them.

Speaking at The British Comedy Awards in 2013, he quipped to a reporter: "Luckily me and David have a sexual tension and that'll never go away. We genuinely have a sexual tension - it's not a tension, obviously, it's an actual real love.

"We wake up in the morning, we look at each other and go, 'Who's gonna win?' I kiss him on the lips and he goes, 'I don't care. I'm the winner'. Do you know what I mean? And then I f*** him hard. And then he goes, 'Stop that, that's really unpleasant.'"

Despite his very raunchy reply, it's clear the pair do really get along - with Lee telling Mail Online in 2012: "David and I both play up to our stereotypes. If 100 is the poshest you can be, and one is the least posh, then my natural way of being is about a 45 and David's is a 65. For comedic effect I play it down to about a 20 and he ramps it up, but in truth we're not that far apart."

Lee even went as far as to shave off his beard for David, joking on their BBC show: "I once shaved a beard I'd been growing for weeks because I didn't want David to think I was copying him."

Lee explained he'd invited both David and WILTY host Rob Brydon to his house for dinner and joked with his wife Tara that David might think he had copied the facial hair - and decided to shave it just in case. The true anecdote had Lee giggling: "I'm all heart, David."

As well as appearing on the show together, Lee, David and Rob have toured the UK for a set of live comedy gigs - and have admitted to spending time with each other outside of work too.
