New Delhi:- The country's largest lender State Bank of India has launched a very special scheme for women on this International Women's Day 2025. SBI's new scheme is a dedicated collateral free low interest rate loan offering for women entrepreneurs.

On the occasion of Women's Day 2025, SBI launched this scheme called 'SBI Asmita'. Apart from this, banks will give women under this scheme with low interest rate financing options.
This launch has happened at a time when the Transonian CIBIL reported that women show less interest in taking business loans. Instead, they like to borrow for personal or consumption purposes. According to the report, only 3 per cent of the loan taken by women was for business objectives, 42 per cent of which were for individual finance products such as individual loans, consumer durable loans, homeowners and 38 per cent were changed to gold.

SBI Chairperson CS Setty said that this new scheme will give faster and easy financing to women-led micro, small and medium enterprise units through digital and self-irrigated process. The bank's MD Vinay Tons described the scheme as a mixture of technological innovation and social engineering.

Apart from this, SBI also introduced the Nari Shakti Platinum Debit Card run by RuPay, which is a card designed specifically for women. This scheme will meet the needs of women in different areas.
