Renowned Pakistani novelist and screenwriter Saima Akram Chaudhry, widely celebrated for her contributions to Urdu literature and television, has been noticeably absent from the drama industry. Best known for hit serials like Suno Chanda, Hum Tum, Ishq Jalebi, and Chaudhary and Sons, her creative storytelling captivated audiences for years. However, she has now stepped back from the spotlight, leaving fans curious about her decision.

The Reason Behind Saima Akram Chaudhry’s Hiatus

During a recent appearance on Jahan Ramzan, a special segment on 365 News, Saima shared insights into her extended break from writing Ramzan dramas. Reflecting on her career, she explained that after penning multiple successful serials for major networks like Hum TV and Geo, she noticed a recurring pattern in her work.

“I dedicated five years to writing Ramzan dramas, often having my scripts air on different channels simultaneously. Eventually, I felt my storytelling was becoming repetitive. Writers sometimes find themselves stuck in a loop, and I didn’t want to fall into that trap. Despite the networks wanting me to continue, I decided to take a step back,” she revealed.

Fans Eager for Her Return

Loyal viewers have expressed their desire to see her back in action, with many admitting they lost interest in Ramzan dramas after her departure. Requests for fresh projects—and even a Suno Chanda Season 3—have flooded social media, proving her enduring impact on the industry.

While Saima remains on a break, fans continue to hope for her return, eagerly awaiting an announcement that could reignite the magic of her signature storytelling.
