X outage: Elon Musk-led social media platform X suffered global outage on Monday, 10 March 2025. The number of X blackout reports is reported to be more than 40,000.

The Tesla CEO has claimed that the social media platform that he acquired in 2022 was hit by a massive cyberattack, even suggesting that a large, coordinated group or even a nation-state could be behind it.

X reported three blackouts of nearly one hour each throughout the day.

Elon Musk posted on X: “There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing…,

Musk said the attack was carried out “with a lot of resources”.
