In Maharashtra, once again the case of illegal Bangladeshi people keeping fake certificates has come up. The Bangladeshi Birth Certificate Scam has surfaced in Latur, Marathwada, Maharashtra. A case has been registered against 9 people. Prior to this, cases have been registered in Malegaon, Amravati, Jalna, Sambhajinagar regarding Bangladeshi birth certificate.
A case has been registered in Latur on 13 March under FIR number 89. The case has been registered under Section 318 (4), 338, 336 (3), 340 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS), including serious allegations such as fraud, forgery and forgery. All the accused are citizens of Bangladesh and were illegally living in Maharashtra. These people had also applied to get their birth certificate on the basis of fake documents.
It is alleged that all of them obtained birth certificate in India using fake Aadhaar cards, fake documents and false affidavits. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has revealed information on social media handle X, highlighting this scam.
Even before this, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has been raising his voice against Bangladeshi migrants living illegally in Maharashtra. On January 22, he also released a figure of people living illegally by posting on social media handle X. In his post, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya claimed that there has been a scam to give fake birth certificate to 15,845 Bangladeshi, Rohingya in Akola district of Maharashtra. He also demanded an inquiry into it.
He claimed that 4849 in Akola, 1899 in Akot, 1468 in Balapur, 1070 in Murtijapur, 1262 in Telhara, 3978 in Patur, 1319 in Barshitakali, people were given fake birth certificates. Somaiya had said that during the election code of conduct in the year 2024, so many people have obtained fake certificates in Akola district with the help of fake documents. Not only BJP leader Somaiya but Home Minister Amit Shah has also raised his voice against Bangladeshis living illegally in India.
