Stand up comedian Zakir Khan is set to perform at the Madison Square Garden, New York, for a second time. The beloved artist recently turned host to American stand up comedian and writer Hasan Minhaj. Zakir took Hasan on a culinary tour of his hometown Indore. Sharing glimpses from the special meet, he wrote, “Brother @HasanMinhaj, come to the hometown! Big fan of his work. So yeah, had to take him to the streets of Indore for some real food! Of course, he was so impressed that he agreed to bring me on stage at Madison Square Garden! Manifesting or just facts in advance? You decide,” Zakir captioned the photo, blending humour with a hint of ambition.

Hasan, known for his satirical style of comedy, responded with enthusiasm, replying, “THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME INDORE, SEE YOU AT @thegarden!” The conversation between the two artists quickly caught the attention of fans, sparking excitement about a potential collaboration.

Days after the cryptic exchange, it has been confirmed that Zakir would be performing at the Madison Square Garden, New York. The ‘sakht launda’ will take the stage at the iconic venue on August 17 at 7 pm, as mentioned on the official website. The site also notes that the performance would be in Hindi and the gates would close at 6 pm.

The prestigious venue has a capacity of nearly 20,000 people which is huge for a stand up show. Widely known as the ‘World’s Most Famous Arena’, Madison Square Garden has hosted iconic events and performances throughout history.

Zakir Khan, host and stand up comedian has carved a niche with his unique comedy style and storytelling. On March 17, 2024, Zakir became the first Indian stand up comedian to perform at the Madison Square Garden. Reflecting on the experience, Zakir mentioned that it was a big day not just because of the venue but because some of his favourite personalities such as Ali Sethi, Chef Vikas Khanna and Kal Penn were in the audience.
