There is a remote spot in the UK where the forest meets the beach, and it looks like something you would only find in another part of the world. The pine trees that make up Newborough Forest were planted here in the 1940s, 50s and 60s to stabilise the shifting sand dunes. One person wrote: "Absolutely stunning beach. We managed to walk to Llandwyn island which is beautiful and feels very spiritual. Be mindful of tide times as it does get cut off at high tide and you can't see down onto the beach from the top."

Another shared: "Newborough Forest and beach is a stunning location. It is great for long walks with or without a dog. The scenery and vistas are amazing. We were there on a very blustery day, but it was still very enjoyable being in Mother Nature."

A third commented: "So good we went two days in a row! Got down there by 10 so the beach carpark was virtually empty. Pick up a walks pamphlet near the toilets and off we went. Did the blue walk which took us over to the island once the tide had gone down a bit."
