(Yamunanagar News) Yamunanagar. In preparation for the Swachh Survekshan 2024, the municipal corporation is actively engaging in various initiatives. Following the directives of Commissioner Ayush Sinha, the municipal team, under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Dr. Vijay Pal Yadav, reached out to Nirankari followers during a congregation at Sant Nirankari Bhawan. They encouraged attendees to contribute to the cleanliness survey and emphasized the importance of providing citizen feedback. Led by brand ambassador Shashi Gupta, the team explained the feedback process to the devotees and urged them to submit positive responses. Many followers pledged to participate in providing citizen feedback.
Shashi Gupta noted that the Swachh Survekshan 2024 has garnered continuous support from educational, religious, and business organizations, as well as women's self-help groups and the general public. Awareness regarding cleanliness is on the rise. Thanks to this collaboration, the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri municipal corporation has consistently secured the second position in the state for citizen feedback, with efforts underway to achieve the top spot. Citizens are encouraged to visit the Swachh Bharat Mission website or the sbmurban.org/feedback link to provide as much feedback as possible. Gupta also mentioned that the cleanliness survey team will soon visit Yamunanagar-Jagadhri to gather information from residents and businesses regarding cleanliness.
Additionally, the survey team will inspect various locations, including slum areas, schools, colleges, bulk waste generators, water bodies, sewage treatment plants, public toilets, parks, street vending zones, landfill sites, stormwater drains, and tourist attractions. Each location will be assigned different scores, which will contribute to the city's overall ranking. Commissioner Ayush Sinha urged all residents to assist in making their city clean and beautiful, refrain from littering, and help enhance parks to improve the municipal ranking. Present at the event were Sant Nirankari Mission coordinator Baldev Singh, regional director Vikram Gandhi, and several other officials.
