FAF DU PLESSIS, who led the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2024, was released by the franchise before the mega auction. Despite his huge experience, age and ups and downs, RCB opted out of an experienced batsman. Delhi Capitals bought the former RCB captain for INR 2 crores during the auction, which recognized his leadership capacity and batting capacity.
Just a few days after appointing Indian all-rounder Akshar Patel as his new captain, Delhi Capitals have now submitted the role of vice-captains to du Plessis.
