Around 30-year-old unidentified male body was recovered from the Marine Drive shoreline on Tuesday around 10:15 pm. The deceased’s identity has not been ascertained yet, and the police are trying to find out who he is. The Marine Drive police registered an accidental death report, and the body was sent to JJ Hospital for a post-mortem.

According to the police, on Tuesday night, people noticed a body near the shoreline and informed the patrolling police. Subsequently, the police and fire brigade team arrived at the Marine Drive shoreline and recovered the body. The deceased wore a T-shirt and a half pant. The police have not found any documents or a mobile phone with the body. Moreover, the lack of CCTVs has made identifying the body a bit challenging for the police.

A police officer stated, "No marks or tattoos were found on the body. The body was fresh, and it seems the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon because his face was clearly visible. We are trying to ascertain his identity." Further investigation is underway.
