This action has been taken due to irregularities in land acquisition for the Defense Corridor in Lucknow. Abhishek Prakash is a 2006 batch IAS officer and was currently working as Secretary, Department of Industrial Development and CEO of Invest UP. He had the responsibility of many important departments, so his suspension has stirred the administrative circles.

Lucknow Defense Expo Action in Land Scam

Abhishek Prakash has been a Lucknow District Officer (DM) for a long time. He has been accused of making irregularities on the basis of corruption and fake documents during the land acquisition for the Defense Corridor in Bhatgaon, Lucknow. In this case, the matter of scam has come to light in the compensation process, due to which this strict action has been taken on the then DM Abhishek Prakash.

Government started intensive investigation

This corruption case is being investigated in depth. The committee constituted by the government is investigating what irregularities have occurred in land acquisition and compensation distribution and which officers were involved in it. Yogi Adityanath has made it clear that Zero Tolerance Policy will be adopted against corruption and the culprits will not be spared.
