Famous singer and music composer Anirudh Ravichander lit the evening at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, before the start of the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the . He performed on the famous songs Hukum, Badass, and Arabic Kuthu.

The 34-year-old singer kept the audience hooked to their seats with the stellar performance in the evening. He is one of the most loved people in Chennai and a die-hard fan of CSK and MS Dhoni as well. His performance was enjoyed by the enthusiastic fans present at the Chepauk Stadium. Moreover, videos went viral on social media as well.

CSK are playing against their arch-rivals in the third game of the IPL. While the afternoon game between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) was a high-scoring game, the night match is more on the boring side. MI were forced to bat first and could only manage to score 154 runs. While Suryakumar Yadav (29) and Tilak Varma (31) batted brilliantly in the middle overs, the failure of the top order was the main reason behind this low score. 

In bowling, left-arm spinner Noor Ahmed, claimed four wickets in his spell, giving away only 18 runs from four overs he bowled. He was the most economical bowler of the innings for CSK, with an economy rate of 4.5 rpo. On the other hand, Khaleel Ahmed, who also played his first game for the Men in Yellow, claimed three wickets in four overs.

CSK captain hit a stunning half-century against MI in the second innings. It was one of his best innings in the league, as it was quick and crisp. He started firing from the very first ball, going after MI's best bowler, Trent Boult.

He did lose his wicket to Vignesh Puthur but scored 53 runs in 26 balls, hitting six boundaries and three sixes. Rachin Ravindra played an anchoring innings as well, sticking around from the start. Ravindra also hit the winning runs for the side, remaining unbeaten on 65 from 45 balls during the target chased down successfully by the Super Kings. MS Dhoni was at the non-striker's end when the winning runs were scored in the 20th over.
