Delhi, The legendary Malayalam film star Mohanlal is widely considered to be one of the guys who changed the face of Indian cinema. With a repertoire that includes more than 400 films and a remarkable career spanning more than 40 years, he has delivered many powerful performances. Mohanlal claims that despite his illustrious past, he is continuously learning and aspires to be a “good actor.”

Mohanlal made his acting debut in the 1978 Malayalam film Thiranottam when he was eighteen years old, but censorship concerns caused it to be delayed for twenty-five years. The 64-year-old actor made his on-screen debut as the adversary in the 1980 romance Manjil Virinja Pookkal.

What does he make of the label of stardom, then?

“I’m still learning. This is a procedure. After I improve as an actor, I’ll respond appropriately, Mohanlal told IANS.

The actor has received several accolades during his career, including the Padma Shri in 2001, the Padma Bhushan in 2019, and the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army in 2009, making him the first Indian actor to get this distinction.

Has he ever had moments of self-doubt despite all the love, respect, and accolades he has gotten over his career?

“This is a part of our profession,” he said. You will get rewards if you are the best. You will win an award if your film is excellent. That is a really important issue once again. How? because of your coworkers, the screenplay, and the fact that you are working with a talented director on the project. We are being shaped by them. Therefore, they deserve all the credit. Not with a performer.

“L2: Empuraan,” Mohanlal’s most recent film, is a follow-up to the 2019 smash hit “Lucifer.” Like its previous chapter, “L2 Empuraan” is a mix of politics, action, suspense, excitement, and mystery.

When asked whether he believes it’s the ideal component to create a blockbuster, the five-time National Film Award winner said, “It is how you construct the sequences, how you place a song.” It’s a clever move. Although it is not a secret recipe, it is difficult to be in that format. You must take action if you need to take action.

Therefore, the sequences are what produce the feeling if you require it. Therefore, it is a mix of all of them. Furthermore, it isn’t if the positioning is off. It won’t function. However, it was the ideal blend, much like Lucifer. really well-written and coordinated screenplay. Thus, the key is the script. And the director’s genius is in how you carry it out.

As the Prithviraj Sukumaran-directed movie opens on March 27th, Mohanlal is not “nervous.”

“We’ve performed well. We have created a stunning work of art. We find this to be persuasive, as he said. We’ve made magic, or something. And we did it with complete honesty and fairness. We are now introducing it to the public. Accept it, please.

And there is already that acceptance. Therefore, there is no pressure. In fact, it’s a lovely relief. But if it works out tomorrow, great. If not, we did a good job. You see, you can’t go fix it. Therefore, we should simply express our gratitude or remarks about the movie to the viewers. We are conversing for that reason. If not, we’re awesome. We are content. We’re having fun,” the celebrity, who won the Kerala state wrestling title in 1977 and 1978, said.
