voiced hopes of one day becoming a father, but admitted it may never happen for him. The 45-year-old got engaged to American playwright and screenwriter Lindsey Ferrentino in 2018, but it was confirmed they had split last year after he was reportedly spotted on celebrity dating app Raya.

Speaking to the in 2017, the actor opened up about his desire to have a family, explaining how having a 10-year age gap with his brother gave him good practice with children.

Ralf, who is best known for starring as Neville Parker on from 2020 to 2024, said: "I had a practice run with my brother, who was 10 years younger than me. I remember thinking, when my mum told me she was pregnant, how nice that he's being born now, when I can appreciate him, 'cause I'm a grown up. At 10 years old.

"I think I'm very good with kids, hanging out with them. But... I don't have any. That I know of, ha ha ha."

He added: "It's never quite worked out yet, finding the right person to settle down with. I would very much like it but I'm starting to have this creeping feeling that, oh, it might never happen."

Last month, it was announced that Ralf was reuniting with his former co-star Will Mellor for a new project. Ralf and Will, 48, previously starred in the hit BBC sitcom, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps from 2001 to 2009.

After vowing to bring back the classic sitcom, the pair are set to hit the road again on a nationwide tour. They are appearing at 12 gigs across the UK as part of their November Nonsense: Two Pints Podcast set of shows.

The podcast kicks off in Birmingham on November 1 and will conclude at Stoke's Regent Theatre on November 22.

Of their new project, a delighted Ralf said: "We absolutely love going on tour. Being on stage is such a buzz and with the crowd we have a right laugh, November can't come soon enough."

Will added: "Me and Ralf live on stage again, what could possibly go wrong!?! We absolutely love doing our live show and we just want everyone to come along, get involved and hopefully have a great time! Bring on November!!"

Strictly Come Dancing star Will previously opened up about his desire to revive Two Pints of Lager.

"The script is done. I wanted to bring it back for a season but the BBC said no and BBC THREE said no. It was quite a cult thing, I still get stopped in the street now. I know Ralf is the same as me - he wants to bring it back," he told The Sun.
