The National Defense Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by UPSC, in which 12th-pass students (for Air Force and Navy from PCM stream and Army from any stream) can apply. The selection process includes written tests, SSB interviews, and medical tests. Candidates selected in NDA get a starting salary of ₹56,100 per month.
In the Indian Army, there are opportunities for 12th-pass students to enter various trades under Soldier and Technical Entry, in which the salary can be from ₹ 21,700 to ₹ 69,100. For Sailor and Artificer Apprentice posts in the Indian Navy, students who have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) can apply, whose salary ranges from ₹ 21,700 to ₹ 69,100 per month.
