and wife Anita Dobson decamped from their £7million home in Kensington in following a basement flood which ruined countless childhood photo albums and memorabilia. The couple took up residence in a three storey property, boasting 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and five reception rooms. The sprawling home is set in an estate of more than 200 acres in the heart of Windlesham, Surrey.

The property reportedly set the couple back a staggering £25million and in January Originally built in the 1920s the mansion stands on the site of a 16th century farmhouse which was demolished to make way for a Regency replacement that they now reside in.

While he hasn't showcased the East wing - one of the newest additions to the property - it houses an indoor swimming pool, studio, spa, sauna and gym. The house also boasts an observatory which allows Brian to indulge his passion for the stars.

In January, his doting wife Anita and indicated he collects massive amounts of memorabilia which also has a place in their home.

She explained that her husband will buy two of everything - one for himself and one for his grandchildren, explaining: "He's a big collector. He buys a packaged one and one that he can have for the grandkids.

So, while its ten bedrooms may seem rather paltry when compared with Buckingham Palace's 52 'royal' bedrooms (supplemented by a further 188 for staff), May's mansion has idiosyncratic treasures all of its own.

The gardens of the property include parterres and topiary while there is even a viewing tower to observe different parts of the estate. The formal gardens are bordered by extensive parkland, beyond which lie arable land and more woodland, which includes nearby Swinley Forest.

She told at the launch of the Cirque du Soleil show in the Royal Albert Hall: "I always think I've got to have a clear out, and a lot of my clothes go to the local hospice. But there's so much stuff.

"The way I look at it, my husband is a hoarder and I'm a semi-hoarder. I try to lessen the accumulation of stuff that comes in. My husband is really clever so any little things that come in that you think are useless he will go, 'No, no, don't get rid of that because it might come in useful.'

"And it does," she added. "Something he is fixing, or something he has decided to add, and there it is, he's got it in his DIY box."
