Television actors Mugdha Chaphekar and Ravish Desai have officially confirmed their separation after nearly a decade of marriage. The couple, who met on the sets of ‘Satrangi Sasural’ and tied the knot in 2016, shared the news of their split via social media on Saturday.
Ravish Desai posted a note on Instagram, revealing that they had been living separately for over a year. In his post, he wrote, “After much contemplation and thought, Mugdha and I decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. It’s been more than a year now. We have had a beautiful journey together — one of love, friendship, and respect — and that will continue all our lives. Kindly do not believe in any false stories or statements. Thank you for your love and support.”

Mugdha and Ravish’s love story began in 2014 while working together on ‘Satrangi Sasural’, where their on-screen bond translated into real-life romance. The couple got engaged in early 2016 and celebrated their wedding later that year with a close-knit ceremony in Mumbai.
Mugdha Chaphekar started her acting career as a child artist in the film ‘Aazmayish’ and gradually established herself in the television industry. She featured in a range of popular shows including ‘Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo’, ‘Golmaal Hai Bhai Sab Golmaal Hai’, and ‘Satrangi Sasural’. However, it was her portrayal of Prachi Mehra Kohli in the hit TV serial ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ that brought her widespread recognition and made her a household name.
Ravish Desai, who made his TV debut with ‘Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi – Meri Bhabhi’, has worked across television, films, and digital platforms. His television credits include ‘Satrangi Sasural’, ‘Kunwara Hai Par Hamara Hai’, and ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’. On the OTT front, he appeared in popular series like ‘Made in Heaven’ (Amazon Prime Video), She (Season 2), and Hansal Mehta’s critically acclaimed show ‘Scoop’, alongside Karishma Tanna and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
