Mumbai and its surrounding areas are predicted to have partly overcast skies on April 11 with temperatures between 26 and 34 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (imd). Other regions of Maharashtra are preparing for a range of weather conditions, while the capital continues to experience intense heat and heavy humidity.
Districts in Vidarbha might see thunderstorms and rains, with isolated areas seeing severe winds of 40 to 50 kmph, according to the IMD’s prediction. In Amravati, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, and Wardha, thunderstorms with strong gusts and lightning are expected to occur.
In the meanwhile, Marathwada is predicted to have hot, muggy weather, with scorching evenings in certain places. According to the IMD, this variance highlights the various climate patterns seen in Maharashtra’s several areas.
In Nandurbar, the temperature rose to 45.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Heatwave conditions have increased across the state, as seen by the 43.7 degrees Celsius recorded in Jalgaon and Akola. Unseasonable rain in Vidarbha has prompted the issuance of a yellow notice. Maximum temperatures in the area are probably going to be higher than 40 degrees Celsius. Over the following three days, unseasonable rainfall is predicted, which might provide some respite from the extreme heat, even in areas of Madhya Maharashtra.
