The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has fixed the deadline for filing the manifesto for the confidence scheme 2024 from the Direct Tax dispute. If you are also a taxpayer and come under the purview of this scheme, then you should file your manifesto by 30 April 2025. CBDT has issued a circular about this deadline.
CBDT has started the confidence scheme for the convenience of taxpayers from the dispute, it is a government scheme, which will resolve the ongoing disputes between the Income Tax Department and the taxpayers. In this scheme, taxpayers get a chance to settle their old tax disputes and avoid all kinds of legal bets. By doing this, the Income Tax Department does not even take legal action against taxpayers.
CBDT Notifies 30.04.2025 as the last date, on or before which a decision in Respect of Tax Arrears can be filed by the declaints to the designed authority under the DIRECT TAX VISWASWAS Scheme, 2024.

Income Tax India shared the information about the last date of the confidence scheme from the controversy on its X (East Twitter) handle.
The confidence scheme from the controversy is also known as Vsv 2.0. The scheme started on 1 October 2024, under which you can settle the tax pending case till 22 July 2024. With the help of this scheme, the disputes related to income tax get relief to the taxpayers stuck. Let us tell you that at present, income tax disputes of about 30 lakh crore rupees are stranded across the country.
