Londonलंदन : England cricket team managing director Rob Ki, while supporting the newly appointed white-ball captain Harry Brook, said that he would keep calm in a role that often comes with great chaos.

Sky Sports Cricket was speaking at the podcast as Brook is fully prepared to start his era when England would take on the West Indies in the domestic series of three ODIs and the same T20 matches from 29 May, followed by a white-ball chain against South Africa on the domestic ground in September. Brook has replaced the former T20 World Cup 2022 winning captain Jose Butter, who resigned after a disappointing performance at the ICC event, storing the title in the World Cup 2023, finishing seventh with only three wins, reaching the semi -finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and winning the ICC Champion Trophy.

Speaking during podcasts quoted by Sky Sports, Ki said, “There is a lot of chaos in leadership and captaincy.” “You have to keep a poker face, and when everyone sees him, he feels that he is under control and he knows what he is doing, it is really important.” “Many times you don't do this, but when you look like this, people think that this is the right way and they follow it. This is something that weets,” they further said.

Ki also said that Butler is looking free from the captaincy burden during the IPL, he has scored 202 runs in five matches at an average of 50.50 with two half -centuries. He said, “This extra responsibility can be difficult, but till now Brook looks like a person who can separate things while focusing on his batting.” Ki warned that Brook initially would not look very sophisticated while talking to the media, “But as he will do it all, it will be better because he clearly knows what he needs and his firm belief, which is not always.” Currently, Brook, who ranked second in the ICC men's Test batting rankings, has worked as a vice-captain in both ODI and T20 I formats last year.

He started his captaincy against Australia in Butler's absence last September, earning praise for his strategic awareness and calm leadership. The series was a close match that Australia won 3–2. The captaincy burden was also not on the brook as he scored a top scorer in the series scoring 312 runs with a century and two half -centuries at an average of 78.00 in five matches and a strike rate of more than 127. Brook was also the captain of England Under-19 at the Men's Under-19 World Cup 2018. In that tournament, Brook scored 239 runs in five matches with a century and two fifties. England finished seventh in the competition. (ANI)
