Patna: The Bihar government has extended the last date for submission of self -proclamation letter, giving all the landowners of the state another chance. Now the ryot (land owner) can submit this form by 15 April 2025. Earlier this deadline was fixed on 31 March, but many ryots could not complete the process on time. In such a situation, the government has taken this decision keeping in mind the convenience of the people.
What is the self -proclaimed letter?
The self -proclaimed letter is a document in which the land owners give information to their land – such as account number, Khesra number, ownership status, land (farming, residential etc.) and give it to the government. This process is a major step towards making the land survey and registration system transparent and modern.
Why is this process important?
The state government has launched this initiative with the aim of digitizing land records and reducing ground disputes. A self -proclaimed letter helps the government understand how much land it has, what is its current use and in which category that land falls.
How can you fill the self -proclaimed letter?
1. online through online medium
Ryot can fill the online form by visiting the official website of the Department of Revenue and Land Reforms. For this, the basic information of the land and a scan copy of the identity documents have to be uploaded.
2. through offline medium
Those who are having difficulty in the online process, they can go to their respective Zonal Office or submit a letter of autonomy to the survey camp. The form can be filled with the help of employees there.
Who to fill this form?
This process is mandatory for every land owner of the state – whether it is the owner of agricultural land or a residential plot. If a ryot does not fill this form, then there may be a problem in proving rights about its land.
Last date: 15 April 2025
The government has clarified that this is the last chance. After this, action can be taken against those who do not fill the self -proclaimed letter or their land can be considered outside the survey process.
