Rajat Patidar-led will take on at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur today, looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat against Delhi Capitals at home.

Although they’re playing in Jaipur, will break from their usual red-and-gold colors and step onto the field in green. The team will be wearing their special green jersey as part of the long-running "Go Green" initiative, which has been a key part of their identity since 2011.

What is RCB's Go Green initiative?

Under this campaign, RCB dedicates one match each IPL season to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The green jersey, made entirely from recycled materials, is a symbol of the franchise’s pledge to support eco-friendly practices and reduce their carbon footprint.

Rajesh Menon, RCB’s Chief Operating Officer, spoke about the campaign, highlighting that it goes beyond just an outfit change. “The green jersey is a symbol of our commitment to a larger cause. It’s about inspiring fans and communities to take sustainability seriously,” he said.

RCB's IPL record in Green Jersey

While the environmental message is clear, the team’s performance in the green jersey has been mixed. Out of 14 matches played in green so far, RCB has managed just four wins, with nine losses and one no result.

RCB last wore their green jersey on April 21, 2024, against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Despite a late surge by their middle order, RCB fell agonizingly short of victory when they needed 3 runs off the final ball.

The upcoming match will be the 15th time RCB dons the special green kit as they continue their tradition of promoting environmental awareness. As they gear up to face a strong Rajasthan side, RCB will be hoping to change their momentum in the 2025 season.
