Bhojpuri actress Trisha Kar Madhu has finally opened up about the infamous MMS leak that shook her career, calling it a deliberate conspiracy by a powerful group within the Bhojpuri film industry. Years after the controversy that nearly ended her rising career, Trisha has now revealed that the viral video was recorded without her knowledge during her early days in the industry by a female roommate.

“Why would I destroy my own career?” Trisha asks
As reported by Aaj Tak, in a recent conversation with actress Nidhi Jha, Trisha dismissed all allegations suggesting the act was a publicity stunt. “Why would I destroy my own career just when it was taking off?” she asked. Trisha revealed that shortly after working with actor Khesari Lal Yadav in a song, she began receiving threatening calls. Though she refrained from naming either Khesari or Pawan Singh , she emphasized that the plot was orchestrated by an influential group in the industry. “If it wasn’t a big group, why would I still be fighting a legal battle today?” she said.

While she defended Pawan Singh, stating he never made her uncomfortable even when they worked together years later, she chose not to take Khesari’s name either, only suggesting that the culprits were from within the industry.
“Women are treated like they’re worth nothing”
Trisha also commented on the challenges faced by women in the Bhojpuri film industry, saying, “There is too much dirt here. Women are treated like they’re worth nothing.” She claimed that her refusal to be part of any group or give in to demands led to the smear campaign against her.
What’s the issue?
A 22-minute long MMS of Trisha went viral in August 2021, and the Bhojpuri actress also got much backlash from netizens. Trisha also received heat from the netizens when she posted a video of her performing Chatth Puja.
